About
I am a third-year PhD student in Pure Mathematics at the Analysis research group at the University of St. Andrews from September 2023. My primary supervisor is Prof. Mike Todd, and my second supervisor is Dr. Natalia Jurga.
My research focuses on the Dynamical Systems and Ergodic Theory, particularly on recurrence.
Prior to this, I obtained my bachelor's in Mathematics & Applications from Shahid Bahonar University (2012-2016) and master's degrees in Pure Mathematics from Tarbiat Modares University (2017-2019). During my master's program, my thesis was on “Orbit Equivalence for Measure Preserving Actions”. My master's advisor was Prof. Masoud Amini.
Besides studying mathematics, my other passion is Persian calligraphy, which I have been involved with since childhood. I started learning it at the age of nine with the help of an excellent teacher. Later, I received the highest official certificate in calligraphy, which also allowed me to teach it. During my master’s studies, I taught calligraphy at the same university where I was studying mathematics. I have also taken part in six calligraphy exhibitions. you can see some samples of my work.
